Mushrooms illusion project

For school we had to do a project called the Illusion project. This was a 3d modeling project where you had to choose an optical illusion and model it in Maya and then render in Unreal engine. You had to have 2 camera's, one where you could see the illusion and one that showed how the building was actually constructed (Broken illusion camera)

I had complete artistic freedom and had the option to choose any theme I wanted and I wanted to do something Ori and the blindforest inspired and a kind of overgrown theme so I went with an entire scene filled with luminescent mushrooms. I wanted to have a nice colour palette so I chose blue with orange since they are very complimentary so I knew I couldn't really go wrong with that combination.

This was my very first project with a 3d modelling software and I'm happy with the results considering the time limit i got in this project. I got 8 weeks to finish it. So I spent 8 weeks learning the different softwares we had to use and create this.
